IN LATEST INSPECTION
We are proud to announce a glowing report from the Care Inspectorate following an unannounced inspection in October 2025, receiving an exceptional
5 across the board rating, reflecting the very high standards of care, environment, and staffing.
The inspection evaluated three key areas, Support for residents’ wellbeing, Quality of the staff team and Quality of the care home setting, which were all rated ‘Very Good’.
Inspectors praised our home for its warm, compassionate atmosphere, where residents are treated with dignity and respect. Families echoed this sentiment, describing Buchanan House as a “5-star home” and commending the staff for their attentiveness and professionalism.
One relative shared, “Staff are fantastic, my relative is so well looked after – it’s peace of mind for myself.” Another resident added, “We’re well looked after here by all the staff.”
The report highlighted strong relationships between staff and residents, a vibrant activity programme tailored to individual interests, a clean, welcoming environment with recent refurbishments & robust recruitment and training practices ensuring high-quality care
